Romanian Mother
Irina turned 75 in 2022 and lives alone in a typical communist concrete block of flats in Romania. Her husband has passed away 8 years ago.
Just like for many ageing parents in Eastern Europe, both sons have left the country, focusing on IT studies and careers.
Irina’s greatest joy is a visit of the sons from abroad.
Breaking her daily routine, Irina rewards them with the food they remember from childhood and with her love.
